1. Introduction
This lesson is meant as a preparation for students’ future role as a facilitator of WSWM.
In this lesson they will discover the fundamentals of the program WSWM and the 10 golden rules for facilitating it.
Before starting this facilitation lesson, please make sure you have read the introduction to teaching facilitation lessons at the TTC.
2. Key Messages
- The World Starts with Me (WSWM) is a computer-based curriculum on life skills and sexuality education. You are a student at the Teacher Training College and in this course you will learn how to facilitate this curriculum.
- In comprehensive sexuality education young people are given full information, so they can make their own informed choices about love and intimacy (rights=based)
- The 10 golden rules of facilitation will help students to become a good facilitator
- As facilitating actually is very different from teaching, they will practice a lot during this program

- Students discover the fundamentals of Comprehensive Sexuality education and the program the World Starts With Me.
- They discover why is it important that young people in Malawi receive this education
- They learn the relevance of being a facilitator in Comprehensive Sexuality education, and what they need to become one
