Reflection Lesson 1-9 + facilitation lessons
By the end of this lesson, TTC students can:
- Recall from each lesson of the World Starts With Me both the most important SRHR message(s) learned, and the most important facilitation skills learned, reflect on them and explain how these skills will help them to implement CSE and bring the recalled key messages effectively across in their future schools.
Future
TTC students can:
- State that every person has the right to build a a professional career as a CSE facilitator.
- Describe their dream/goal as a skilled CSE facilitator in the future and explain what opportunities this goal will bring them.
- Be proud of their future dream/goal.
- Think of challenges in their college, family, fellow students and in their community (including gender expectations, cultural and religious norms) towards achieving their future dream/goal as a CSE facilitator and know possible solutions to overcome those challenges.
Support
TTC students:
- Know their right to get support from other people and to give support.
- Know people who can help realize their dreams and goals in becoming a CSE facilitator.
- Know guidelines for effective facilitation, peer education and referrals and know how to practise them.
Advocating
TTC students can:
- Explain three appropriate methods to advocate for CSE for young people’s SRH issues in their college, primary schools and their community.
2. Attitude
Self esteem
TTC students can:
- Show they are proud of themselves, proud of their dreams and future goal and feel confident in becoming a skilled CSE facilitator.
- Emphasize that it is important to have dreams for the future, even if it will take a lot of efforts and strengths to achieve them.
Supporting others
TTC students can:
- Be aware of how WSWM influenced their professional and personal thinking and are willing to share their lessons learned.
- Show they are motivated to support fellow students and young people in their community, give them advice and if needed, refer them..
- Feel open for advice and suggestions from fellow students which can be helpful to improve their role as a CSE facilitator..
- Be aware of people who can help them realising their future dream and are motivated to support other people and future students in achieving their dreams.
- Be aware of the need of quality facilitation, peer education and advocacy and feel confident to stand up for their own rights and issues they choose to educate about and advocate for.
3. Skills
Planning
TTC students can:
- Provide a scenario on how to achieve their future goals as a CSE facilitator, while knowing the opportunities and challenges they might face and the people who can help them.
- Provide a plan to advocate CSE and take community action on important issues in their own lives and those of the young generation.
Education
TTC students can:
- Provide a plan on how to educate young people on CSE. This plan includes evidence about facilitation and issues from WSWM as well as their opinions about why CSE is important for young people in Malawi.
- Demonstrate how to effectively educate young people about issues important to them.
