- Having good friends is a source of support, love and joy. It has positive effects on our self-esteem and personal growth. Especially during adolescence when you are growing independent from your parents.
- It is important to be able to ask for and receive support. A problem shared is a problem halved.
- If peers pressure you to do something, we call this peer pressure. Be assertive: resist peer pressure to do things you don’t want to do!
- It is never okay to bully someone. Stand up for the person that is bullied! Severe bullying should be reported.
- Friends should respect you – sometimes friendships have to end when friends treat us with disrespect.
